With tickets sold out just as fast as ever this year, the final line up for the eighth series of Other Voices has been revealed. It's possibly the programme's strongest line up to date, featuring the best in up and coming and established acts.
The live music show for RTE2 will be recorded in its usual home at St. James’ Church in Dingle, Co. Kerry from this coming Saturday, December 5th, through to Wednesday December 9th and the acts performing live are as follows:
Saturday December 5th Snow Patrol and Ollie Cole
Sunday December 6th Bell X1, The Magic Numbers, The Antlers and Villagers
Monday December 7th Megafaun, Imelda May, The Lost Brothers and The Brothers Movement
Tuesday December 8th Brett Anderson, The Temper Trap, Jesca Hoop and Fionn Regan
Wednesday December 9th Richard Hawley, The xx and Speech Debelle
Meanwhile, Florence and the Machine have agreed to record a private acoustic performance and interview with presenter Annie Mac for Other Voices, as other promotional commitments prevent them from appearing as part of a live show.
On Thursday December 10th, the Irish music special, Other Voices ‘Other Room', will be recorded in a private session in Dingle and will showcase our best up and coming homegrown talent. Other Room acts for 2010 will be Valerie Francis, 202s, The Chakras, O Emperor, James McMorrow and one other Irish act to be announced.
