It's Other Voices week! One of the absolute highlights of the Irish music calendar will begin this weekend in a small church in Dingle, with performances already confirmed from Villagers, Aaron Dessner of The National, The Unthanks, The Staves and many, many more.

The day-by-day breakdown is as follows:

Saturday December 1st: Villagers, Owen Pallet, Kodaline, The Strypes and SOAK
Sunday December 2nd: Paul Buchanan, Aaron Dessner with Local Natives, Luluc and This is The Kit
Monday December 3rd: The Unthanks, The Staves, Palma Violet and TBC

Tickets for Other Voices are like gold dust this (and every other) year, with only around 80 lucky souls being allowed entry to St. James' Church but for the first time in the show's history RTE Two will broadcast live from the venue at 7pm on Sunday December 2nd showing a mixture of pre-recorded and live events. Already confirmed for the telly are Paul Buchanan and Conor O'Brien's Villagers.

The IMRO Other Room will be recorded on a closed set on Friday November 30th, with performances from Walking On Cars, Ghost Estates, Bleeding Heart Pigeons, and Forrests. The final slot for the IMRO Other Room will be either Ocho, Hidden Highways or Riona and will be announced on the Other Voices Facebook page this evening.

As well as the above, the Irish Times' music scribe Jim Carroll will be hosting one of his popular discussion & debate Series Banter at Foxy John's between 4pm and 7pm on the Saturday and Sunday. Joining Jim will be an excellent cast of support players, such as journalist Sinead Gleeson, writers Peter Murphy and Siobhan Mannion and more. More information from www.thisisbanter.com
