Pop punkers One Republic are in town today for a show in Dublin's Olympia Theatre and apparently the fivepiece have become quite smitten with the place.

The official Twitter account for the band has been documenting their exploits in our fair city since their arrival yesterday, as the Coloradoan band apparently enjoyed a belated St. Patrick's Day by dropping into a city centre pub and became acquainted with two of our more well-known customs; boozin' and listenin' to tunes.

One Republic on Twitter: "Day Off Dublin.  We lucked into a pub jammed to the rafters & the best Irish tunes we've ever heard. Life is good."

Can anyone recognise the pub in the picture? We're drawing a blank here. What *IS* more recognisable, however, is the band's temporary abode as seems like they're being looked after in The Clarence* Hotel in Temple Bar judging from the pretty stunning picture. below.

One Republic on Twitter: "Sun setting over Dublin right now. This might be my favorite pic of the entire tour. No filter needed."

But, as plush as The Morrison Hotel is (and believe us, it is plush), sometimes there's no escaping the fact that you're putting yourself in a position where you have to attempt to sleep within earshot of one of Europe's busiest tourism (and drinking) locations. It doesn't look like it went to well for the lads...

*Yes, that is in fact The Clarence!
