It started in 2009 when little more than 40 people decided to raise money for a good cause and has become a bona-fide Electric Picnic tradition. The Tour De Picnic is back once again this year and will raise some much-needed funds for The Children's Sunshine Home.
LauraLynn House is Ireland's first children's hospice, opening last September on the grounds of Sunshine Home in Leopardstown. It is Ireland's only children's hospice, compared to 45 in the UK.
Tour De Picnic has raised upwards of €600,000 in just two years of fundraising. All you have to do to take part is raise €380 (less if you already have a ticket!) and you will receive the following:
Full weekend pass to Electric Picnic
Professionally supported 82km cycle
Baggage transfer to the festival
Massage on arrival
Ice bath on arrival
Goody bags on arrival
Bus ticket home
Bike transfer home
The cycle will take place on Friday 31st August and will be from Tallaght Stadium to the Electric Picnic site in Stradbally - a total of 82km.
