Oasis are to receive a Silver Clef award later today at a ceremony in London's Park Lane Hilton hotel, which annually raises money for Nordoff-Robbins - a charity for music. As recipients of the lifetime achievement award, the Gallaghers and their bandmates follow in the footsteps of such legends as Paul Weller and U2.
The Fratellis, Lily Allen and Meatloaf are also expected to receive awards at the ceremony.
