Well, the Meteor Awards may not be going ahead this year, but there is a new award ceremony in our midst. The Digital Socket Awards aim to celebrate the best in Irish music with nominations voted by the public and winners chosen by a panel of 26 music bloggers.
The nominations for the awards' fourteen categories were announced on Friday and are as follows:
