Heathers, Delorentos, Villagers and The Coronas are all among the nominees for the much-coveted Irish Song of the Year prize, the winner of which will be revealed at the Choice Music Prize event at Vicar Street on Thursday March 7th.

The Irish Song of the Year is completely voted on by the public and celebrates Ireland's favourite song from the previous year. Last year's inaugural prize was handed out to Royseven for their radio-friendly hit 'We Should Be Lovers'.
