It looks like there may be a new beef in the music world - and it involves the Nicest Man in Rock and the Funniest Man in Rock.

Noel Gallagher has responded to Foo Fighters' frontman Dave Grohl's comments that he could reunite Oasis - and as you might expect, it's pretty amusing.

Grohl and drummer Taylor Hawkins made the comments at the Reading Festival last week, saying "One of these days we’ll get Oasis back. Let’s sign a petition, everyone here."

Grohl added: "How many people wanna see Oasis f**king play a show?"

However, when Gallagher got wind of the unofficial campaign, he wasn't too happy.

When playing a gig in California at the end of last week, he was captured on video saying: "So you’re going to sign the petition? ‘If the f**king drummer from Nivarna wants to get Oasis back together he can come up onstage and suck my f**king d**k anytime he likes.

"I hereby start a petition to break up the Foo Fighters. Anyone free can f**king sign it."

Perhaps the fact that Liam has performed with the Foo Fighters in the past - and even crowdsurfed during their set at the CalJam festival last year - has coloured Noel's view of the band.

They're just trying to help, Noel...
