For years, an Oasis reunion has seemed like nothing but a pipe dream for fans.
Countless stories have been written about the Gallagher brothers and their constant potshots and sniping at each other - but it looks like we're the closest we've ever been to the band getting back together.
While Liam has been pushing for a reunion for years - even going as far as to tell a fan last weekend that 'It's happening' - Noel has been adamant that he would not go back to the band. However, in a new interview, Noel - who is currently going through a divorce - was asked to address Liam's recent comments.
"There’s something in the papers back in England today," he said. "[Liam] should get his people to call my people; they know who they are, they know where we are. Stop talking on the fucking internet, and let’s see what you’ve got to say."
When the journalist asked whether a phone call is all it would take, he replied "You would think, right? You would think. He’s got my number, he’s got my manager’s number, call us. But you know what? He won’t call."
However, now Liam is refusing to play ball by saying "He ain't got no people" in response to an excited fan's question on Twitter this morning.
When another fan offered to call Noel's management for him, he replied "Crooked the lot of em."
Yesterday, he expanded on his thoughts by saying "Here’s how I see it the little fella aka potato has done a lot of damage to Oasis as a band / brand he’s got a lot of making up to do not just to me but to you the fans the people that put us where we are tday as you were LG x".
Nevertheless, it seems like the saga may be finally drawing to a close...
