No Doubt and Rise Against have had their official Twitter accounts hacked by overzealous political fans of Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul. Both bands discovered tweets in their timelines enthusiastically endorsing the politician.
"Today we officially endorse Ron Paul 2012 donate to him here", read the tweet. A further message said: "if you actually read what Ron Paul is saying, you will discover for the first time in your life a politician is not lying to you."
Both bands were quick to delete the tweets and issue statements saying that they do not, in fact, endorse Paul.
