Unless Sam Smith is being crafty and trying to massively throw us off the scent, it looks like he might well be singing the next Bond theme.
Smith - who played Electric Picnic at the weekend and called it 'The best festival he's ever played' - has long been a favourite to sing the theme for 'Spectre' but had previously hinted that Ellie Goulding was in the frame to do so.
This afternoon, however, he posted a photo of his hand with a ring inscribed with the logo for the film - which is also features on its promotional poster.
Then again, who's to say it's his hand? He could definitely be doing an Ed Sheeran and pulling our legs. Or maybe it's just a ring with a spider on it that coincidentally looks like the Spectre logo.
We'll wait for an official announcement, but in any case, we reckon he has the voice to follow in the footsteps of Shirley Bassey, Nancy Sinatra and err… Jack White & Alicia Keys.
