Despite a number of reports circulating online, ABBA are not reuniting for a new tour.
The reports were somewhat muddled, but one website - SocietyOfRock.com - posted an article claiming that ABBA was reuniting after thirty years to begin touring again. However, a closer look at the article finds that that simply isn't the case.
What's actually happening is that ABBA is launching a "virtual and live experience" tour in 2018. As we reported back in October 2016, the tour will be a sort of virtual reality experience - but won't actually feature ABBA in person and playing their hits. ABBA did reunite briefly in 2016 at a one-off private gala in Sweden, but have so far made no plans for a live reunion tour.
