Those nerdily into their Canadian indie music will be delighted to hear that New Pornograpers and Immaculate Machine lady Kathryn Calder is set to release her debut solo album.
Calder is the niece of New Pornographers mastermind AC Newman, and used to fill in for country lass Neko Case when she was unavailable to play live on New Pornographers tours.
Entitled 'Are You My Mother?', the album includes guest contributions from Neko Case as well as New Pornographers bandmates, Kurt Dahle and Todd Fancy. Members of Ladyhawk and Frog Eyes will also make an appearance.
'Are You My Mother?' is due for release in the US on August 11th. The tracklist can be found below.
