The new Metallica album 'Death Magnetic' has leaked - but surprisingly, the band members aren't too upset by it.

A music shop in France allegedly sold the album 12 days before it was supposed to hit the shelves, meaning that the music and artwork was leaked to the internet before its official release.

Metallica, who have a reputation for being fiercely anti-music piracy, however, said that they weren't overly concerned.

"Listen, we're ten days from release," drummer Lars Ulrich told a radio station in the States. "I mean, from here, we're golden. If this thing leaks all over the world today or tomorrow, happy days. Happy days. Trust me. Ten days out and it hasn't quote-unquote fallen off the truck yet? Everybody's happy. It's 2008 and it's part of how it is these days, so it's fine. We're happy."
