Elvis Costello has announced details of his new album, which will be a mainly acoustic country affair in which he is joined by a number of country and bluegrass musicians including Emmy Lou Harris and Jerry Douglas.

The album, entitled Secret, Profane & Sugarcane, is due for release on June 2nd on the Starbucks imprint, Hear Music. It was produced by traditional music afficionado T-Bone Burnett who also worked with Costello on his 1986 classic King Of America and 1989's Spike. Reports say the album was recorded in a mere three days at the Sound Emporium Studio in Nashville.

Secret, Profane & Sugarcane will feature new versions of two older songs that Costello wrote for Johnny Cash, including "Hidden Shame", from Cash's 1990 album Boom Chicka Boom. The full track listing is as follows:
