A bevy of new additions to the Electric Picnic line-up have been announced, including Mercury Prize favourite Florence and The Machine. Florence, who has seemingly been mentioned in every second music news piece or article lately, will make an appearance at the festival just days before the announcement of the Mercury Prize.
Also announced today to make an appearance at the festival is Senegalese superstar Baaba Maal, Irish songster Mick Flannery, soul diva Laura Izibor, epic duo The Big Pink and Nightmares On Wax Soundsystem. Other recently announced include: Wave Machines, Peter Broderick and Stee Downes.
Electric Picnic takes place in Stadbally, Co Laois on the weekend of 4th, 5th and 6th of September.
