Neutral Milk Hotel frontman Jeff Mangum has announced a gig in Whelan's on November 30th. The Louisianan group have been on an indefinite hiatus for the past 12 years and, while fans have been clamouring for a reunion, every gig offer was turned down, including the offer of a support slot with REM. Now, some decade and change since they last toured, Mangum has announced a string of solo shows, having made only infrequent appearances on stage since the dissolving of Neutral Milk Hotel. Mangum will also curate the All Tomorrow's Parties festival in the UK.

Plans are also afoot to release a two-volume set of early NMH, a collection of rarities, live performances, self-released cassettes and unreleased recordings although no release date has been set for this.

Tickets for Mangum's show in Whelan's are priced at €20 and are on sale Friday June 3rd.
