Although speculation about Young and Hannah surfaced back in August, nothing had ever been confirmed from the couple. Guitarist Mark Miller even congratulated the newly wedded couple, with no response from either party:

Now, the 72 year old musician has finally referenced his "wife Daryl" while speaking out about gun crime. He's also pulling a Taylor Swift, and urging people to vote in the upcoming US Senate elections. He says “Give us common sense gun laws that protect our people.

"In schools, in places of worship, in the workplace and on the streets. VOTE.” The full note can be read at The Neil Young Archives.

Before starting the song 'Ohio', Young speaks about the time he found out about The Kent State shootings of 1970. He says, "we were overcome with grief and sadness [...] everything was going so great, and just realising how it's all changed":

The Canadian musician and the 'Kill Bill' actress began dating back in 2014, after Young divorced Pegi, his wife of 36 years. They have been quite vocal in protests over the years together, and wrote an open letter targeted at Trump in 2016.

Actress Hannah has turned director recently, having helmed Netflix's critically-panned 'Paradox'. The western starred Young as "The man in the black hat".
