Muse will begin recording the follow-up to their hit 2009 album The Resistance next month. The Devon trio have worked themselves up from being a small "word of mouth" band to being a genuine stadium rock group over the course of their past five albums and will head straight to the studio after this month's Reading and Leeds headline performances. However, Bassist Christ Wolstenholme told NME that they band won't be debuting any new material at any of their upcoming shows. "It's difficult to bring new songs in to the live set before you record them with the internet and dodgy recordings of live songs getting out there before they've been released on an album. People tend not to play new songs live any more. That's why we want to get into the studio, make another album and then tour it."
