The night was hosted by 'Pitch Perfect' actress Hailee Steinfeld, who kicked things off in style:

'The X Factor' winners went from performing 'Super Base' on the talent show in 2011, to performing their collaboration 'Woman Like Me' with Minaj in 2018. Now that is a rise to fame, if we've ever seen one:

As well as performing on the night, Janet Jackson was also awarded the 'Global Icon' award. Jackson made a very moving speech, in what she called "a tremendous responsibility." She felt she needed to "speak for women whose voices have been stifled.

Other performances on the night include Halsey with her new single 'Without Me':

Jack & Jack performed a medley of their hits 'No One Compares to You', before floating around in their Jonas Blue collaboration 'Rise':

Panic At The Disco! blasted out their new hit 'High Hopes':

Minaj returned back to stage to join Jason Derulo and David Guetta for 'Goodbye':

Finally, Bebe Rexha literally made the stage move while performing her song 'I'm A Mess':
