Morrissey has heightened speculation that he is to write his autobiography by revealing details of his plans on radio.

The singer was on Janice Long's BBC Radio 2 show on Tuesday, and reportedly confirmed that he is writing the book, which would span his career with The Smiths as well as his successful solo ventures.

"So much crap is written about me, it's hard to live with sometimes," he said, "it all gets burned down in history and becomes a part of your legacy."

He also revealed that his new album 'Years of Refusal' would be released in the new year and that the cover art showed him holding a baby - an image of which can be seen below.
