Morrissey found himself embroiled in controversy yet again last month, when an interview with German newspaper Der Spiegel was published.

In it, the Mancunian singer was accused of victim-blaming regarding his comments about the Harvey Weinstein/Kevin Spacey sexual harassment scandal, saying in relation to the latter: "“As far as I know, [the victim] was in a bedroom with a 14-year-old. Kevin Spacey was 26, boy 14. One wonders where the boy’s parents were. One wonders if the boy did not know what would happen.”

Now, he has released a follow-up statement clarifying his position on that matter, as well as his comments on Trump and vowing never to do a print interview again.

His calls for the audio of the Der Spiegel interview, meanwhile, have been answered - with the journalist, Juliane Liebert, tweeting that it would be available 'in the next few days'.
