MGMT, Devendra Banhart and Lidell are among the first to be enlisted by Beck to cover entire albums for his 'Record Club,' a dedicated section of his soon to be revamped website.

Artists will be challenged to record an entire album in just a day, without rehearsal or pre-production of any kind. The first album to be attempted is 'The Velvet Underground and Nico', unsurprisingly, the debut by The Velvet Underground, on which the seminal experimental rockers collaborate with iconic German model and singer Nico. Regular Beck producer, Nigel Godrich, will take on producing these hastily recorded projects.

On completion, Beck will upload one new song into Record Club each week.
