The shortlist for Meteor's Most Promising New Artist For 2010 Award has been revealed. The Top 5 have been whittled down from 170 entries received by an expert Music Industry Panel including Hotpress' Niall Stokes, 2FM's Larry Gogan, Dave Fanning and Rick O'Shea, Today FM's Paul McCloone, Eamon Carr from the Evening Herald, Annett Donnely from Sony and Pat Creed from Warner Music.
The five nominees for the award are as follows:
AMASIS – "Never Yours"
Amasis are Les Stapleton, Fergal Toohey, Russell Cooley, Nofe Liberty and brother Felix - Les and Russell are natives of Dublin, Fergal hails from Galway, Nofe and Felix both hail from New York. Their music is an exciting blend of pop and R'n'B that fits in perfectly with contemporary music production. www.amasisproductions.ie
EVER27 - "Shadows"

COLM LYNCH – "Baby Don’t Cry"
Colm Lynch has been on a musical mission that has brought him to all four corners of the land and beyond.
