Mercury Rev have announced that they will visit Dublin to play their 1998 album 'Deserter's Songs' in its entirety.

The album was recorded in 1997 at Dave Fridmann's Tarbox Recording Studio and features such classic Rev songs as "Goddess on a Hiway", "Holes", and "Opus 40". On its release it was chosen as album of the year by the NME, MOJO, and several other international music publications.

The veteran rockers from Buffalo, New York, will play Vicar St on May 18th 2011 as part of the ATP Don't Look Back season, a series which has previously featured such albums as The Stooges' 'Fun House', Sonic Youth's 'Daydream Nation' and Spiritualized's 'Ladies & Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space'.

Tickets priced €33.60 go on sale next Tuesday November 30th at 10am.
