Maximo Park have revealed new details of their forthcoming third album. It is to be entitled 'Quicken the Heart' and was recorded and produced in LA by Nick Launay, who is know for his work with Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Nick Cave and Talking Heads. The lead single to be taken from it will be 'The Kids Are Sick Again', released on May 5th on WARP Records (who incidentally celebrate their 20th Anniversary this week) before the album comes out on May 12th.

Maximo Park played a charity gig in their hometown of Newcastle on Wednesday (25th) which made big news after thousands of fans were turned away from a venue with a capacity that simply wasn't large enough. Hopefully Dublin's Academy will be big enough for all their fans here though, when they play there on April 6th
