Westlife fans expressed concern last year after Mark Feehily was forced to pull out of several live dates with the boyband due to illness which turned out to be pneumonia.

However, it now seems like the Sligo native's health woes are ongoing as he has announced that he will not be joining his bandmates on their 'Wildest Dreams' tour dates this summer.

The pop quartet are due to play five dates this summer, in the UK, Europe and Mexico, but dad-of-one Feehily revealed to fans that he has been forced to pull out due to health issues.

"Hey Lovely People, it’s Mark here," his social media post read. "This summer, our Wild Dreams tour continues and we are so blessed for the huge love and support we receive from our fans worldwide. We have five shows taking place this summer from May-July and it is with deep regret that I will not be able to join Shane, Kian and Nicky on stage for those shows.

He continued: "This week I have to undergo a little bit of surgery. There is nothing to worry about I promise, but under doctor’s orders this surgery needs to happen sooner rather than later and will also require some recovery time throughout the summer."

He added: "I was very excited to see you all and perform but this is something that can’t be avoided and I know that you will still have the time of your lives at what will be some amazing shows!"

It's not know what his surgery entails, but hopefully he recovers quickly and is back to full health very soon.
