Former Soft Cell frontman and 80s electro star Marc Almond has been added to the Electric Picnic bill as part of this year's Thisispopbaby line up.

No doubt you can expect hits like 'Tainted Love', 'Say Hello, Wave Goodbye' and 'Torch', as well as some of Almond's less well known solo material. He will be performing with a 5 piece band in the famous Electric Arena tent.

Also on the newly announced Thisispopbaby bill are New York’s Gospel Superdiva Our Lady J, extreme London performance artist Jonny Woo and neo-cabaret superstars Bourgeois and Maurice; intimate sets from electropoppers Robyn and Chew Lips; and brand spanking new shows from Ireland's Elite Queens: Panti, Shirley Temple Bar and Heidi Konnt. Thisispopbaby will also host the likes of Cap Pas Cap, The Pulpit and The Late Fragments as part of their Hot Pop showcase of rising Irish stars.

Meanwhile, Werk, a combination of theatrical performance, art and club music, will feature appearances from Veda Beaux Rêves, Bitches with Wolves, THEATREClub, Ponydance, Krisma, Dizzy Dyin’ For It, Roxxy Stone, Opus Gei and the Glorious Mysteries, Bunny, Jackie Cash, Regina George, Blaithnaid McGee, Shazwanda, Alter Ego, AnimaLady, Mr C Gull; DJs Chewy Chewerson, Martin McCann, Will Dempsey and more.
