It's been a busy morning for gig announcements, with the two biggest coming most recently.

Manic Street Preachers are set to visit Dublin in May, returning to the Olympia Theatre on Monday May 16th. Bassist Nicky Wire said of the Olympia, "it truly is one of our favourite venues. We have enjoyed many great gigs there over the years". Support on the night will come from The Joy Formidable and tickets priced €39.20 go on sale this Friday February 25th at 9am, the same day the band release new single 'Postcards From A Young Man', the title track of their latest album.

Elsewhere, Queens of The Stone Age are celebrating the reissue of their 1998 self titled debut album by making plans to play the whole thing in full for their Irish fans. The California rockers will play the Olympia on Thursday May 19th. Tickets priced €44.20 go on sale this Friday February 25th at 9am, while the shiny new issue of 'Queens of The Stone Age' hits record shop shelves next Friday March 4th.
