This is hardly the first time there's been talk of a tenth anniversary reunion for Girls Aloud, but since The Guardian are now among those reporting confirmation from the band's manager Hilary Shaw, it seems this time it's legit.

After recent reports that Nadine, Sarah, Kimberly and Nicola were getting impatient waiting for Cheryl Cole's scheduled to clear and might soon reconvene as a foursome, fans will be pleased to hear that the 2012 reunion will see all five girls perform together again. Shaw told The People, "The girls are still getting on great, they speak all the time, and that includes Cheryl and Nadine with the other girls...Cheryl is keen to get back with the girls and is planning something which could be a one-off or some gigs."

The prospect of a new album still remains a long way off, however, as Cheryl is still touted to join the new US X Factor which will be kicking off next year. Meanwhile, Kimberly Walsh and Sarah Harding are making the crossover into TV and acting, and Nadine Coyle is set to continue her solo career having changed management after the her debut 'Insatiable' flopped on release last year.

Nicola Roberts is the latest to start work on a solo album, and is reportedly working with Diplo & Switch, who recently produced Beyoncé's hot new single 'Who Run The World (Girls)'. A track entitled 'Dance to the Beat of My Drum' is expected to be her first solo release.
