Having struck deals with Prince and McFly to release their albums for free through their newspaper in 2008, The Mail On Sunday have launched their own record label.

Editor Peter Wright told industry mag Music Week that he hoped the first release on the label - dubbed 'Mail On Sunday Sounds' - would be ACM Gospel Choir's version of 'O Holy Night', which was released on Monday.

"I think that if we can move into original content in the long run that will be more exciting," he said."It is closer to what we do in the newspaper - we don't publish other people's stories. We are original content providers. If we can move into that area with music, it is very exciting."
