Madonna's latest album MDNA has earned the dubious honour of recording the biggest ever second-week slump in US chart history. Madge debuted at the top of the charts last week, shifting over 359,000 units of the record but has sold just 46,000 in its second week of release - a drop of 88%. Frankly, we're not all that surprised because the album is - put simply - rubbish.

Forbes Magazine has surmised that the alarming drop is because the first week's sales were packaged with concert tickets which artificially inflated the sales and was the reason Madonna finished ahead of Lionel Richie's Tuskegee, which has surged above Madonna to the top spot this week.

Does this explain the massive drop? Mostly. It was impossible to book Madonna concert tickets without purchasing a copy of the album too and, while this shows that Madge is still an undisputed queen of the live show, does this mean that there is no real interest in any of her new material?
