It seems that not everyone was enamoured with Madonna's tribute to Prince at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday night.
Madge performed 'Nothing Compares 2 U' solo, before teaming up with Stevie Wonder for 'Purple Rain', but was criticised by many who felt she didn't do the song justice.
She responded to the comments by posting two pictures to Instagram, the first of which was captioned: "Anyone who wants to do a tribute to Prince is welcome to. Whatever your age Gender or skin Color. If you loved him and he inspired you then show it!!!! I love Prince 4 ever "
The second was a reference to her hit 'Human Nature', and read: "This is my " I'm not your bitch don't hang your shit on me" Dance"
