The Billboard Music Awards took place in Las Vegas last night and saw some of the biggest stars in music turn up to perform and receive awards for their work over the past year.

One of the performances was by rapper and singer Machine Gun Kelly, who dedicated his performance of 'Twin Flame' to his 'wife', actress Megan Fox.

The pair have been known for their very public displays of affection over the course of their intense relationship, as well as confessing that they drank each other's blood after getting engaged.

Kelly, whose real name is Colson Baker, sparked speculation that they had tied the knot by saying "I wrote this song for my wife", while mid-song he also paused to dedicate the performance "for our unborn child".

However, the lyrics of the song that followed suggest that the couple had suffered a pregnancy loss; "Go to sleep/ I'll see you in my dreams/ This changes everything/ Now I have to set you free".

He did not respond to requests from the press for further comment, but tweeted this afterwards:
