By the looks of their newly announced schedule for Record Store Day, Tower Records on Wicklow St will be bulging at the seams and beating off music fans with sticks come Saturday April 16th.

Festivities will kick off at 12noon and will feature live performances from a number of world calss acts who just happen to be passing through the city that weekend. Swedish popstrel Lykke Li, Beta Band man Steve Mason and quirky US folkies A Hawk and A Hacksaw will all be taking time out to play short shows, while home grown talents Enemies, The Answer, Kanyu Tree and Squarehead are also on the day's in-store schedule.

Tower have also announced that once they shut their doors on Record Store Day the party will continue at The Workman's Club on Wellington Quay. The day's running order is soon to be announced as are even more live performances. Keep an eye on Tower's twitter and facebook for more.
