Ed Sheeran has a bit of competition in the 'pop comeback' stakes today, as Lorde has (very bravely) chosen to release her brand new single.

After a week of teasing, Ella Yelich-O'Connor has released her new single 'Green Light' and its accompanying video.

It's her first new song since 'Yellow Flicker Beat', which was taken from the soundtrack of 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1' back in 2014.

The slow-building song soon finds its rhythm and is a full-on dance-fest by the time it ends - just what you need, heading into the weekend.

It's taken from her forthcoming second album 'Melodrama', with a release date TBC:
