At least 18 Irish record stores will celebrate the 6th International Record Store Day on Saturday April 20th next.

Record Store Day was started in 2007 as a way to promote and provide funds for the record sales industry across the globe, which was taken a big hit with the advent of online music stores like iTunes. This year's ambassador is Jack White, who will release a tenth anniversary edition of The White Stripes' Elephant with black and red vinyl one side and white vinyl the other.
