Lily Allen confirmed she is headed for Glastonbury's Worthy Farm next year on Nick Grimshaw's Radio 1 Breakfast Show this morning. She will join Stanton Warriors aka producers Dominic Butler and Mark Yardley who were the first act to be announced last month.

'It got confirmed yesterday. That's the first big thing I'm going to be doing. I'll be doing 16 weeks of festivals over the summer and then tour. It's the best festival, I think - that, and Fuji Rock in Japan,' said Allen.

The Glastonbury gig will be part of an extensive tour the singer will be embarking on next year. Last week we saw the official release of her track 'Hard Out Here' which critics have slammed saying that the video was not acceptable. Allen was quick to defend the song, 'There's been a lot of praise [for 'Hard Out Here'. Millions. Laura Mvula, Ellie Goulding and Kate Nash were all in touch. Loads more. Laura Mvula said she both laughed and cried with happiness when she saw it.'  When questioned about the critics she acknowledged there were some but said 'we're not going to talk about them.'

Her third album has still to be given a release date but she joked 'You never know, I might rush-release it before Christmas'. Really Lily there's no rush.
