Just days after announcing that he would play Cork's Live at the Marquee this summer, Lil Wayne has been forced to cancel his entire upcoming European tour due to problems acquiring a work permit for his UK shows.

Lil Wayne recently served an eight month sentence at Rikers Island prison on a weapons charge, and it is this conviction that caused a problem for his visa application.

Wayne was set to tour the whole of Europe in support of his upcoming new album 'Tha Carter IV', which is set for release on May 13th.

Tickets for the Cork date were set to go on sale tomorrow morning.
