So, Lil Wayne's finally gone to prison. After his sentencing was once for dental surgery and then again last week after a fire broke out in the courthouse, Lil Wayne was sentenced yesterday and began his prison term immediately.
The rapper was sentenced to one year in city jails for having a loaded gun on his tour bus in 2007, but is expected to be released after just eight months with good behaviour. According to reports, Lil Wayne's legal team have requested that he be placed in protective custody rather than in the general population, due to fears over his celebrity status.
