When rock star Lemmy Kilminster died just after Christmas, the reason for his death was attributed to an 'extremely aggressive' form of cancer that he had only been diagnosed with a few days previously.

Now, his official cause of death has been revealed as prostate cancer, according to his death certificate.

TMZ also report that congestive heart failure and cardiac arrhythmia were contributory causes.

Kilminster had been in ill health for some time, although his death came as a surprise to many. Last week, his memorial service took place in Los Angeles that saw Dave Grohl give a eulogy and thousands of fans flood the Sunset Strip area of LA to pay tribute to him.
