If you'd been keeping in touch with the Le Galaxie Twitter feed lately, you'll have no doubt noticed that their upcoming Meeting House Square gig as part of Dublin Fringe was in doubt. Well, you can allay those fears as we've just received official word that the show will, in fact, go ahead as planned.

As per the press release:

Mother Presents: Le Galaxie en 3D as part of Dublin Fringe Festival announce today that their sold out gig this coming Saturday September 14 will go ahead at Meeting House Square as planned. However due to issues with one of the key service providers it will not have a bar license and so will be an alcohol-free event - please note the consumption of alcohol will not be permitted.

This is following extensive attempts by the promoters to continue to secure a license upon being made aware of this issue late in the day. A number of options were considered including the possibility of moving the event to the Olympia on Sunday as was previously circulated inadvertently without full confirmation.

We sincerely apologise for any concern this has caused particularly in light of the misinformation that was released about the possible change and shared in good faith.

We are all immensely looking forward to this electrifying event in one of the most exciting spaces in the city. If you are a ticket holder and have any questions or require a refund call 6755930, please do not call our main box office.

This performance has a substantial waiting list and we hope to be able to accommodate some of these patrons with a some limited extra capacity.

Our neighbours in The Liquor Rooms have offered to provide €1 off pints for tickets holders before and after the show.
