A memorial gathering will take place in Brooklyn tomorrow, Thursday November 11th, to remember Jerry Fuchs, drummer with !!!, The Juan McLean, Maserati and Turing Machine, who died tragically after falling down an elevator shaft in the early hours of Sunday Morning.

Fuchs, who also played live with MSTRKRFT and LCD Soundsystem, became trapped in an elevator with a friend at a benefit party in Williamsburg. The pair opened the elevator doors, and while Fuchs companion successfully jumped to the nearest floor, Fuchs clothing became caught on the elevator, causing him to fall down the shaft to his death.

LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy payed tribute to Fuchs, saying, "He was one of the only people we all knew who was literally great at what he did."

The memorial will take place in Enid’s in Greenpoint, where Fuchs was a regular, from 7pm to 11pm, and friends and fans can raise a glass to the late drummer.
