Once I Was An Eagle, the fourth album from English singer/songwriter Laura Marling, will hit the shelves on May 27th next according to a message on her official website.

The album, the follow-up to Marling's 2011 release A Creature I Don't Know, was recorded by regular collaborator Ethan Johns. The material was road-tested on Marling's Working Holiday Tour across the US last year, during which she made her way across the country playing gigs without the help of a tour manager.

Speaking to NME, Marling said of the album: "It's just me and Ethan Johns this time. I gave him the songs and he pretyy much ran with it. I'm very lucky to have him."
