Kylie Minogue has joined Jay-Z Roc Nation roster, where she will join up with the likes of Rihanna, MIA and the Ting Tings.

Minogue's United States publicist confirmed the news this morning and stated that the deal is purely a management contract and that the Australian is still contracted to Parlophone Records and will soon released a new single.

"We would like to welcome Aussie singer, recording artist, songwriter, actress and designer Kylie Minogue to the Roc Nation family!", a statement for the company said today. Kylie joins another recent Roc Nation signee Timbaland in being the newest additions to the Jay-Z family (we mean that figuratively).

Could this be a strategic move on Kylie's part to once again try to break the lucrative US market? Despite being a huge star in the UK and down under, Minogue has never really made an impression stateside, with her last hit single being 'Can't Get You Out of My Head' over 12 years ago.
