Despite still being on hiatus, the members of The Killers have found enough time to get together to record a new song to continue their tradition of charity Christmas singles.

The Killers made the announcement via their official website www.thekillersmusic.com, but gave very few details about the song, promising to "post more info as it becomes available".

'Boots' is set for release in the USA on November 30th, which will likely mean an Irish release on Friday November 26th. As usual, The Killers will be donating all proceeds to World AIDS Day, which takes place on December 1st this year.

With just two weeks to go until its North American release, the song itself has yet to surface online. Chances are, it won't be long now.

The Killers still have not revealed when they plan to start working together again, while frontman Brandon Flowers is still promoting his less than extraordinary solo effort 'Flamingo'.
