It's been less than a year since their last record 'Imploding the Mirage' was released, but it seems that The Killers have used their time off the road wisely.

The Las Vegas band were due to tour extensively last year in support of 'Imploding the Mirage', but of course, Covid put paid to that.

Instead, they spent time in the studio - as was revealed during an Instagram Live a few months ago - and it has now been revealed that they will release another album in August.

According to drummer Ronnie Vanucci Jr., it's a "bit of a concept record" and is "very different" from the band's previous material, as he revealed in a new interview with the Sarah Hagan Backstage podcast.

"Well, weirdly enough, we had this stockpile of songs that were sort of orphans off of the last record," he explained, "but we’re saving that for the next record. We instead made another record which is quite — a bit of a concept record. Very different from the normal Killers stuff.”

He added: "“So we still have that stockpile left, and we’re still writing more. It’s always good to have a few songs – or an album, even – lying around, just in case.”

The Killers are scheduled to play Dublin's Malahide Castle on June 14th and 15th 2022 and have just released 'Dustland' - a collaboration with Bruce Springsteen.
