Killers drummer Ronnie Vannucci is to follow in the footsteps of bandmate Brandon Flowers by releasing a solo album.

Vannucci has stepped out from behind his drumkit to play guitar and sing on the record, entitled 'Big Talk', which he recorded in London. He also managed to rope in Depeche Mode and Erasure producer Alan Moulder to mix the record as well as former Weezer bassist Matt Sharp to play bass.

Speaking to NME, the drummer revealed, "I'm not ready to be getting my hair curled and hitting the big stage. From a practical point of view it makes sense to try it out guerrilla style until we get our shit together."

As yet the album has no scheduled release date.
