Well this is the biggest surprise announcement in music since Beyoncé dropped an entire album on our heads out of nowhere.

Famous recluse and legendary music icon Kate Bush announced this morning that she will play a series of 22 shows at London’s Eventim Apollo, Hammersmith starting on August 26th, titled 'Before The Dawn'. Tickets are set to go on sale at 9.30am next Friday, March 28th.

Bush's first tour took place in 1979, never touring again for unknown reasons, and while she has become an iconic figure in music, she has only released three new albums in the last 20 years. Bush previously said that she finds the process and length of time it takes her to release an album 'extremely stressful', telling BBC Radio 4: 'It's very frustrating the albums take as long as they do. I wish there weren't such big gaps between them.'

It's unclear yet if this new show will be a greatest hits compilation or a showcase of entirely new work, but either way it's something for fans to get extremely excited about. Expect this one to sell out instantly.
