Tom Meighan of Kasabian admitted to have a meltdown earlier this year while on tour with the band in the US.

Meighan found the tour very tough especially being away from his then pregnant girlfriend, which he says added to the strain of being away from home.

Meighan said 'I had a meltdown. Not a complete breakdown but I just lost it through the realisation of what was going on in my life. I went a bit mad for a couple of days,'

'I panicked. I've never had that before. And I was at breaking point. But the band were there for me and crying helps.  He added 'I cry a lot and I'm not ashamed to say that but America was hard. It was nine weeks of non-stop touring. But we're doing all right there now, so it was worth it and we're going back there in the autumn'

The band have talked previously of wishing to crack America and they hope that the tour earlier this year has helped them to do this. Meighan also has revealed his frustration at One Directions success in America calling them 'five little dicks'.

Kasabian are set to play Marley park later this month with Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.
